Overview

User-generated content is valuable for online platforms and contributes to increased engagement, authenticity, and overall growth. VIDIZMO offers a versatile option, enabling you to control whether user-generated content is permitted in your portal. Managers and Administrators can give Viewers the right to upload content to a portal.

By enabling the User Generated Content (UGC) option in Vidizmo, viewers can upload any media file, temporarily making them contributors. To delve deeper into the understanding of User Generated Content (UGC), a detailed article is available for your reference: Understanding Library Settings.

When the User-generated content is disabled, contributors will seamlessly revert to their original status as viewers. Moreover, content moderation will be turned off within the portal, and any content published by contributors will be directly showcased without undergoing a moderation process.
To learn about content moderation, you can access this guide: Understanding Content Moderation.

Note:  This article has been revised for version 9 and aboveFor those using earlier versions,user-generated content can be enabled by going to the Library and selecting the  User-Generated Content option. It's important to note that the core functionality remains consistent across all versions.

VIDIZMO offers a flexible solution, letting you easily control the user-generated content in your portal. Managers and Administrators can allow Viewers to upload content. With the UGC feature, Viewers become Contributors temporarily. Even if UGC is turned off, Contributors return to being Viewers, and their content goes live directly without moderation. It is all about simplicity and control.
