User-Friendly URLs, as the name suggests, offer a clean way to present your Portal's web address in order to improve its accessibility by providing an intuitive and meaningful address to users. These URLs are defined to be easy to read, remember and descriptive of the web page's content. 


User-Friendly URLs are also used to conform to the Representational State Transfer (REST) software architecture and to ensure individual web resources follow the same, consistent URLs. 

By default, VIDIZMO supports User-Friendly URLs and has the ability to reconfigure them back for clients, e.g. SAAS clients, who require dynamically created web addresses.


For example, initially VIDIZMO's dynamically generated and complex URLs looked like the following URL:

VIDIZMO now uses rules-based rewriting methods to rewrite requested URLs, so they look like the following, short and User-Friendly URL:
