Introduction

At times a single video taken from an specific angle or location isn't enough to convey an entire incident or story. Playing your desired and relevant media altogether in one frame creates a visually impressive collage which will help you to make your target audience understand it with ease. VIDIZMO is now letting its users to create "Video Mosaic" and customize it according to their business needs.

Roles & Permissions

Contributor+ roles can create their Video Mosaic. This feature is currently a part of DEM product package.


Steps

From the portal's homepage

  1. Click on Add New button (+).



Now from Add new screen 

  1. Click on Create Mosaic.




Adding Desired Media

From Left side pane in Mosaic tab.

  1. From left side pane, Search and add all your desired media.



Note: You can add as many media as you want. However, we don't prefer you to add more than 4 media files in your mosaic as browser can behave unexpectedly.


Auto Adjust Players

From left pane in mosaic studio

  1. Click on Tile button located at top of your search box. It will arrange all of your added media players in a pre defined grid.




Note : The players on canvas snap to the edges automatically.


Custom Layout

From Canvas

  1. Drag the corners of players and adjust its size according to your desire in order to resize it.
  2. Select desired player, Drag and drop it to any part of canvas in order to change its position.



Specifying Availability of Media

From the Timeline present beneath the canvas

  1. Drag and drop the track to your desired timestamp in order to choose its duration. Final Duration of mosaic will be according to the media placed at the last on the timestamp.


Clipping Media

  1. Click on the edges of your sequence and drag the starting or ending corners in order to clip the media. Preview the clipped media by playing it and you can adjust it again accordingly.


Mosaic Audio

From the Timeline present beneath the canvas

  1. Click on your desired media.
  2. Now, from right side pane adjust its volume and you can also mute or unmute it. You can also add a separate audio track in your mosaic.



Note: By default the volume of first added media is unmuted while others are in muted state.



Syncing Multiple Tracks

From the bar located at the top of your timeline and below the Progress bar

  1. Click on Add Markers.
  2. Click on all the timestamps in different media you want to be synced together. You can zoom in the timeline for better precision and change the position of added marker.
  3. Click On Sync Marker once after you're done placing them accurately.



Locking Player & Track

From timelime area present beneath the canvas

  1. Click on your desired track you need to lock.
  2.  From the right bar enable the Lock Track toggle button.
  3.  From the right bar enable the Lock Player toggle button if you need to lock the player of that media on canvas



Switching Position

From the timeline area present beneath the canvas

  1. Click on your desired track you need to change position of and select the position of player from the options given.
  2. You can also double click on players to switch the position of players on canvas.


Restoring Unpublished Session

From portal's homepage

  1. Click on overflow menu of your desired mashup.
  2. Select Studio Space.
  3. A modal will open showing you all of your previous unpublish changes. Click on restore icon.


Undo and Redo

From the bar located beneath the progress bar

  1. Click on Undo icon to undo your action or changes.
  2. Click on Redo icon to redo your changes that you undo.
  3. You can also undo and redo by pressing Ctrl + z and Ctrl +y



Publish Form

From top bar in mosaic studio

  1. Click on publish button.


From Save Mosaic form

  1. Title : Enter a suitable title for your newly created mosaic.
  2. CategoryChoose any category or case you want this mosaic to be a part of. By default it will just be a part of general category.
  3. Collection : Choose any collection from the dropdown for your mosaic. It is optional.
  4. Source QualityFrom the dropdown below select the source quality for every individual track present in mosaic which will be given to the encoder.
  5. Output QualitySelect the output quality from the dropdown of final mosaic.


Note : Renditions of mosaic will be created according to the configurations done in your enabled encoding profile.
