Overview

In today's interconnected world, collaboration is key to success. With that in mind, it is important for software and platforms to provide seamless communication. One such solution is the Partner App feature that enables users to easily transfer mashups, folders, and other content between different portals.

Partner Application allows users within different portals to share content with each other without being a member of the other portal which can greatly enhance collaboration and efficiency in shared projects. Partner Application would require both portal users to configure the partner app in their respective portals, allowing the other portal user to copy content in another Partner Agency’s portal.

Users can create a Partner App from the Portal Settings section of their application. From there, the Partner App can be configured on both portals to allow communication between them. To learn more about Partner App, see Understanding Partner App in VIDIZMO.

Here is a guide to configure Partner App in VIDIZMO:

Before you start

  • Make sure to log in to your VIDIZMO Portal as an Administrator or Manager role to configure Partner App.

Partner App Configuration

In order to allow Partner Agency to copy content in your Portal, you will have to provide some credentials. 

Step I

Go to Apps Section

From the Portal's Homepage,

  1. Click on the navigation menu on top left corner.
  2. Expand Admin tab.
  3. Click on the Portal Settings tab and you'll be directed to Portal Settings page.


Step II

On Portal Settings page:

  1. Click on the Apps to expand the list of application services that you can integrate with. 
  2. Select Integration Apps where you can set up Partner App. 
  3. Click on Add New Apps button on top right corner.
  4. Click on + button on the Partner App.
  5. Your App will be added.]

        6. Click on the settings icon against Partner App to configure it.


Step III

Configure Partner App

On the Partner App settings screen, the following fields will be shown:

  1. Application Name: This is to uniquely identify your Partner app within the VIDIZMO portal. You can give it the name of your choice.
  2. Application ID: This is a unique system-generated ID of the Partner App with which the application will be used for authentication of your portal’s users when they are copying content in partner agency’s portal.
  3. Client Secret: This is a unique system-generated secret that will be used in the password less authentication process.
  4. Partner Domain the URL of the partner agency's portal from which it’s users will be copying content into your portal.
  5. Partner App ID: Here you’ll enter the Application ID of your partner agency’s partner app.
  6. Partner App Secret: Here you’ll enter the Client ID of your partner agency’s partner app.
  7. Allow Copy toggle.
  8. Click on Save Changes to proceed with the settings.
  9. After configuring Partner App settings, go back to Video Conferencing Apps screen and turn on toggle button against settings icon to activate the Partner App in your portal.

Note: Partner App must be configured on your as well as your Partner’s Portal to create trust relationship.
