Introduction

The VIDIZMO content creation tool has a user-friendly interface that lets creators easily make content and stream. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to begin creating content smoothly.


Prerequisites

  • Verify that you have Contributor+ role access in your VIDIZMO Portal before proceeding.


Getting Started with Content Creation 

To start creating content seamlessly, follow these steps.

Accessing Content Creation Tool

1. Login to the VIDIZMO Portal with the Contributor+ role. Click the Add Media button. This will redirect you to the Add New Media page.




2. On the Add New Media page, select the option for Content Creation. This will open the content creation tool, allowing you to start crafting your media content.



3. Presented below is the visual representation of the Content Creation User Interface.



Exploring Content Creation Options



  1. To initiate the recording process, select the Record button. This action will begin the recording of your content. 
  2. The camera icon is used for adjusting camera settings. Clicking on the arrow beside it provides various options, including Mirror My Video and Select Virtual Background. If you wish to turn off the camera, click the camera icon. This provides you with the capability to adjust camera-related preferences effectively.
  3. Choose your desired audio device and effortlessly toggle between muting and unmuting by clicking the microphone button. To access advanced audio settings for microphones and speakers, click the arrow adjacent to the microphone icon. Additionally, you have the option to activate the noise suspension feature by clicking the noise suspension checkbox.
  4. Begin sharing your screen by clicking the screen icon. Then, pick the specific screen tab you wish to share from the options provided. When you're done sharing, click the screen icon again to stop sharing.
  5. Select the toggle tile view button to have a side-by-side view of the shared screens.
  6. Select the Noise Suspension option to eliminate background noises during recording.
  7. Click on the Select Background button. Customize and set up your virtual background according to your preferences.
  8. Access Settings to open the management window housing tabs for video, audio, virtual background, profile, and key shortcuts configuration. 


Note: VIDIZMO content capture is compatible with all browsers except Safari.


Creating Video Content using Content Creation

To initiate recording access to the Content Creation tool within VIDIZMO, please refer to the instructions provided in the preceding section of this document.


1. Click the Record button to start capturing video content.



2. While recording, you can pause and resume the video-capturing process. Click the Play/Pause button to pause or click again to resume.

3. Adjust Video Quality by opening the Performance Settings panel.




Use the slider to adjust the video quality level:

  • Slide left for lower quality.
  • Slide right for higher quality.



Note: By default, the camera settings are configured to utilize the highest available quality, ensuring optimal performance for your recordings. This setup also designates the webcam camera and computer audio as the primary input, allowing you to commence recording seamlessly.


4. To conclude the recording, click the record button.



5. A window will appear with the title of the recorded video and a category selection. Choose the appropriate category for your content from the dropdown box. Click the Publish button to proceed.



6. The Publish button leads to a new screen with the following tabs:

  • Basic Settings tab
  • Publish tab
  • Access Sharing tab
  • Timed tab

Fill in the required fields within these tabs to customize your recording's settings. For detailed information, refer to the "Understanding Media Settings" article. Click the Save and Close button to publish your recording on the portal.


7. Once published, the recorded video file will be available for viewing in the Media Manager under the Published tab.


Initiating Screen Sharing 

To initiate screen sharing within VIDIZMO using the content creation tool, follow these steps:


1. Select the Screen Share option from the available array of content creation tools.

2. A window pop-up will appear, providing the opportunity to:

  • Select the specific screen source you intend to share.
  • Choose from available options such as Chrome tab, window, or the entire screen.
  • If multiple screens are connected to your PC, opt for the desired screen from the Entire Screen tab.

3. Click the Share button to initiate screen sharing.



4. The film strip displays both the shared screen and camera feed. You can easily switch between screens and transition seamlessly during screen sharing.



5. To optimize your screen-sharing experience, click the Toggle Title View button. This action will yield a side-by-side view of the shared screens, enhancing overall clarity and comprehension.

6. To stop sharing your screen, click the Sharing button again to end the process. 



Virtual Background 

To enhance your video content with a virtual background, follow these steps:

1. Click on the Select Background button located in the content creation tools.



2. A window will pop up, offering the option to customize your virtual background to align with your preferences.

3. Select from the array of virtual background options.

4. To personalize further, click the "Add Background" button. This allows you to upload a virtual background image of your choice from your PC.

5. Click the OK button to confirm and conclude the virtual background setup.



Creating Content with Audio Only

Follow these steps to produce content using audio exclusively:

  1. To begin, deactivate the camera icon by simply clicking on it. Click on the arrow adjacent to the Microphone icon.
  2. From the menu that appears, opt for the specific audio source that you intend to record from. If your computer is connected to multiple microphones, select your desired microphone from the provided menu.
  3. For better recording quality, choose "Noise Suspension" to eliminate background noise. 


Note: These are general settings that can be applied to video recording, not restricted to audio-only.



Managing Content Creation Settings

To effectively manage the various options within the content creation tool, please follow these steps:

1. Click the "Settings" Option. This will open the management window, which houses different tabs for configuring various aspects of the tool, including video, audio, virtual background, profile, and key shortcuts.



2. Audio Tab

  • Click on the "Audio" tab to manage audio settings. In this section, you will find a dropdown menu that allows you to select the specific audio source you intend to use. If your computer is connected to multiple microphones, simply choose your desired microphone from the provided dropdown menu.
  • To ensure your microphone is working correctly, select your preferred microphone from the dropdown menu and then click the "Test" button.
  • Choose "Noise Suspension" to eliminate background noise.



3. Video Tab

  • Proceed to the "Video" tab to configure video settings. Here, you can select the camera input. If your computer is connected to multiple cameras, pick your desired camera from the dropdown menu. By default, the camera input is set to the webcam.
  • If you wish to record a mirrored view, you can enable the "Mirror My Video" option.
  • From the dropdown menu, you can adjust the frame rate for desktop sharing. The default setting is 15 frames per second.



4. Virtual Background

  • For customizing your virtual background, refer to the "Virtual Background" section mentioned earlier in this document.


5. Profile Tab

  • In the "Profile" tab, you can edit the displayed name associated with your account.
  • Choose your preferred language from the dropdown menu to adjust the content creation tool's language to your preference.
