Deemed fairly popular for its pool of professional users, VIDIZMO incorporates LinkedIn SSO login feature to enable employees to sign using their LinkedIn credentials with professional contact information and work-specific details.

Configuration in LinkedIn Developers Portal

1. Click here on LinkedIn Developers Portal to access the LinkedIn Developers Portal.

i. Click on the User icon to bring up the Sign in button.

ii. Click on the Sign in button to sign to LinkedIn

2. Use your LinkedIn credentials to log in:

3. On the LinkedIn Developers home screen - Authenticating with OAuth 2.0 - scroll down to Step 1 - Configuring your LinkedIn application and click on the create an application link to start creating your LinkedIn App:

4. The My Applications screen lists all your Apps here. Use the Create Application button to create your App.

5. On the Application Registration screen:

i. Enter a name and a description for your Application.

ii. Upload a logo as it won't let you save without uploading a logo according to the specified size i.e. minimum 80px.

iii. Provide the required information for all the mandatory fields (marked with red asterisks).

iv. Agree to the LinkedIn API Terms of Use by selecting the checkbox.

v. Then click on the Submit button to proceed.

Note: You can enter URLs in either http & https format.

6. On clicking on the Submit button in the previous step, the Application Authentication Settings screen is displayed:

i. Note down the Client ID and the Client Secret for use when configuring LinkedIn SSO in your Portal. 

ii. Under the Default Application Permissions, check all the boxes.

iii. Under the OAuth 2.0 group, add your Authorized Redirect URLs.

iv. Finally, update the settings using the Update button at the bottom.

v. When the update is successful, a notification will be displayed at the top under the main banner.

Configuration in VIDIZMO

1. From the Portal's Homepage,

i. Click on the navigation menu on top left corner.

ii. Expand Admin tab.

iii. Click on the Settings tab and you'll be directed to Portal Settings page.

2. On Portal Settings page,

i. Click on the Apps tab on the left-hand panel.

ii. Further click on the Single Sign-On tab.

iii. Locate the LinkedIn App on the screen, and click on the Settings icon at the right-hand side.

3. The LinkedIn SSO Settings screen offers various fields, each of which is explained below:

i. Client ID: This attribute is the unique identifier for the client application. Provide the information that was saved in step #3 when registering the application on the LinkedIn Developers Portal.

ii. Client Secret: The client secret is used in conjunction with Client Id to authenticate the client application as noted in step #3 when registering the application on the LinkedIn Developers Portal.

iii. Callback Path: Specifies the callback location where the authorization will be sent to your Portal.

iv. Attribute Mapping: Attribute Mapping allows you to map your attributes with the IDP's attributes.

v. Use the Save button to save your changes.

A notification will appear stating Portal Information Updated Successfully.

4. On the Portal Settings > Apps > Single Sign-On screen:

i. Click on the toggle button at the right-side of LinkedIn to enable Facebook SSO.

Roles and Permissions

Only Administrators and Managers can configure an SSO App in Portal Settings.
