Overview
In VIDIZMO, users possess the capability to create, modify, or delete categories and subcategories. Beyond these functionalities, customization allows users to brand categories according to their preferences. However, this particular article will provide a detailed, step-by-step guide on branding a category to elevate your portal's overall branding experience.

Before you start
- Ensure that you are logged in using credentials with Manager+ privileges.
Steps to Brand a Category
From your Portal's Homepage,
- Click on the Navigation menu icon to open the left navigation panel
- Click on the Admin tab to open a list of options in this section.
- Click on Portal Settings
From Portal Settings,
4. Click on Library to open a list of options under the library section.
5. Click on Categories.
6. To activate the branding tab within a category, initiate the process by selecting the settings tab positioned at the left corner of the category page.
From Settings Modal,
7. Within the Category Settings modal, select the checkbox "Allow Category Branding," which enables advanced options that allow you to set your Category's header, background, logo, and custom styling.
8. Select the Update option to finalize and apply the configured category settings.
From Branding Tab,
9. Click the Add Category button for branding a new category or utilize the Add or Edit option for modifying branding settings on an existing category.
10. Within the Branding tab, explore customizable options to enhance the branding of a category.
- Upload Thumbnail
To upload a thumbnail of the category.
- Click on Choose File in the thumbnail section to upload the thumbnail you want for your category. Supported image file formats include .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .gif. It is recommended to use images with dimensions of 600 x 600 pixels for optimal results.
- Click on the Update button at the bottom to save your changes.
2. Background Image
To upload a background image for the category.
- Click on Choose File in the background section to upload the image you want as a background for your category. Supported image file formats include .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .gif. It is recommended to use images with dimensions of 2560 x 1440 pixels for optimal results.
- Click on the Update button at the bottom to save your changes.
3. Banner
VIDIZMO provides users with a flexible functionality for banner customization.
- Users can choose to upload a banner image directly or input code in the editor. Directly uploading a banner image enhances storage capabilities.
- In the Banner section, users can add text and incorporate an image by selecting the overflow menu (three dots) in the right corner.
- Save changes by clicking the "Update" button at the bottom.
4. Custom CSS
To brand using custom CSS:
- Write your own CSS to brand your category.
- Click on the Update button at the bottom to save your changes.

The branding configurations applied to the category will manifest changes on both the Playback and category pages. Navigate to the category's homepage by clicking on the respective category from your Portal Homepage to observe the implemented modifications.
To access the category homepage, select the desired category either directly from the home page or, alternatively, click on the desired Category in the Media Manager to open the category homepage.
