Overview

With VIDIZMO, you can create customized quizzes for your audience, giving them a personalized experience with your content. A quiz helps you determine how well your content has been perceived and understood by your audience while it helps them keep track of their progress.

Before you start

Make sure you log into your portal as an Administrator, Manager or Moderator to be able to create or edit a Quiz.


Create Quiz

  1. Navigate to the interface and locate the "Add New Media" (+) icon at the bottom right corner.



2. Clicking the icon will direct you to a dedicated page for creating quizzes.



3. Add Questions to the Quiz

  • Drag and drop questions from the available options.
  • Alternatively, use the "+" icon to add a new question and select the desired question type.

4. Set scores for each question to determine their respective weightage.

5. Define the passing criteria by specifying a percentage score out of 100.



6. Configure Question Settings 

  1. For Choice Questions within a Quiz:
  • Specify the "Multi-Column Layout" by entering the desired number of columns for displaying answer options.
  • Select the order of answer choices to be displayed: Ascending, Descending, Random, or None.
  • Select the "Is Required" option to mark a question as mandatory, ensuring it must be answered before proceeding to the next Quiz page.
  • Determine whether to "Start with a new line" for each question or display questions in neat columns.


      

          ii. In the case of Descriptive Questions:

  • Add placeholder text to guide users about the type of answer expected in the answer text area.
  • Choose an appropriate "Input type" from the menu, such as "Date" or "Range," to allow users to provide varied and interesting answers.




7. Click on the respective option to configure settings specific to each page within the quiz. Decide the display order of questions on the page:

  • Initial: As arranged during the design phase.
  • Random: Shuffles questions for a varied experience in each quiz attempt.



8. Configure Quiz Settings by utilizing the provided options to configure and customize settings for the entire quiz, ensuring alignment with your requirements.

  • Decide whether to "Show About Page in the beginning" to provide an introduction to users. This includes essential details like the time limit and the number of questions for mental preparation.
  • Choose whether to "Show Page Titles" during the Quiz, displaying the title of each page to the users.
  • Toggle the "Show Previous Button" to allow users to revisit and review previous pages and questions during the Quiz.
  • Determine if you want to "Show Progress" by displaying a progress bar indicating completed pages out of the total.
  • Define a "Time Limit" (in seconds) to specify the maximum duration for completing the Quiz.



9. Click "Next" to access the "Settings" page for your Quiz.

10. Customize media settings for your Quiz on this page. Options include sharing preferences, certificate template selection, adding a description, and more. For in-depth understanding, refer to "Understanding Media Settings."

11. Click "Save" or "Save and Close" to finalize and publish your Quiz. Alternatively, choose "Save as Draft" to retain the Quiz in your library (My Library) for future publishing.



How to Edit a Quiz

With VIDIZMO, you can edit your Quiz even after publishing it. To make your preferred modifications: 

  1. Navigate to the menu icon at the top-left corner and choose "Media Manager" under the Admin tab.
  2. Locate and select the Quiz you wish to modify from the list.
  3. Click the "Edit Quiz" button found in the action menu.
  4. Make Necessary Edits
  5. Click "Next" to enter the media settings section, where you can further customize settings if required. 
  6. Select either "Save" or "Save and Close" to publish the updated Quiz with all modifications.
