For Enterprise Video Content Management System, organizations thrive for a streamlined process of centralized communication with  wide base of their users. To enable this, organizations require an effective way of receiving alerts, prompts, notifications, and other updates regarding the application's use, as timely as possible. This is essential to creating a responsive environment for everyone.

Roles and Permissions

Administrators and Managers can choose to use default VIDIZMO SMTP settings or set up their organization's own SMTP Server.


SMTP in VIDIZMO

From the Portal's Homepage

VIDIZMO sets up a default SMTP server when it is installed. However, VIDIZMO offers the flexibility of configuring your own SMTP Server in VIDIZMO. 

  1. Click on the menu icon at the top left corner of the screen to open the left navigation pane. 
  2. Then click on the down arrow to expand the admin section. 
  3. Select the Control Panel from the navigation panel.

  1. Click on the Email to expand.
  2. Select Email Settings.

   

Configuring Email Settings 

To set up SMTP in the VIDIZMO portal, fill in the following fields under Email Settings: 

  1. Select Notifier: For this setup, Choose SMTP.
  2. Server: The corporate SMTP Server that you have configured for your organization.
  3. Port: Provide the port used in your corporate email server. In the example below, the port 587 is used. Some commonly used ports are:>SMTP - port 25 or 2525 or 587, Secure SMTP (SSL / TLS) - port 465 or 25 or 587, 2526 (Elastic Email).
  4. Enable SSL:  Use the check box if your mail server is configured to use SSL.
  5. From Display Name: The name of the sender that should be displayed.
  6. Sender's Email Address: Provide the email address of the account that will be used to relay email messages.
  7. Sender's Password: Provide the password of the account that will be used to relay email messages.
  8. From: The email address from which to send the email.
  9. CC: The email address of any additional person you want to stay updated with the Email.
  10. BCC: The email address of any additional person you wish to send the Blind copy of the email.
  11. Reply to: The email to which the receiver can send a reply.
  12. Priority(Optional): The level of priority of emails in terms of importance and urgency of delivery. Choose "High" for important emails, "Normal" for standard messages, and "Low" for less urgent.
  13. Click the Update button to proceed and finish the Setup.
